My photographic training began with Michael Wood, the founder of Miksang Contemplative Photography. This discipline was essential in training me to see without being attached to results. I subsequently broadened my range by studying with Freeman Patterson, Andre Gallant, and Eddie Soloway. As a consequence of disciplined training, I can enjoy photography as child-like play. My favorite way of shooting is to wander aimlessly with open eyes and a relaxed mind. Images come to me, those events that catch my eye in the moment. Many teachers of various mindful contemplative disciplines have helped me along the path of becoming present. To all I’m deeply grateful.
